Buying Carbon

To buy carbon with CarbonLow Carbon Trading, you will first need to create an account and add payment details. To do this follow these steps:

  1. Go the the Create Account page.
  2. Click 'Buy Carbon' to indicate that you want to create a carbon buying account.
  3. Firstly, read the Terms and Conditions of Service, and if you accept them tick the box to indicate.
  4. Enter your business details, being careful to select the currency that you want to be billed in as you won't be able to change this later. Click 'Continue'.
  5. The next page will allow you to add an 'order' for carbon credits. Click 'Add New Order'.
  6. Select the scheme that you wish to buy carbon credits under and click 'Add Order'.
  7. Now that the order has been added, add in details of the volume required and your maximum bid (per tonne). Then click 'Continue Setup'.
  8. A valid billing arrangement is required to buy carbon. This is an arrangement to bill your credit card after trades have been completed. To set up an arrangement, click 'Setup New Billing Arrangement' and follow the instructions. Then click 'Contine Setup'.
  9. Your new account will need to be manually verified by CarbonLow Carbon Trading before it is made 'live'. This normally takes no more than 1 working day.
  10. Once verified, trades will take place daily and you'll see details of any trades (i.e. carbon credits bought) in your account.
